Fishing

With its 500 miles of rugged unspoiled shoreline and crystal blue waters, Lake Norfork is known as the home of lunker bass, walleye, ocean stripers, crappie, and catfish. We are only minutes away from world-renowned trout fishing on the North Fork and White Rivers. We can arrange river trout fishing trips at your request. Our area is truly a fishing paradise!

Lake Norfork is well known for its excellent population of striped bass. The average striper on Lake Norfork is about 10 to 12 pounds. Stripers in the 20 to 30 pound range are fairly common. The largest striper ever caught on Lake Norfork was over 50 pounds.

With excellent populations of largemouth, smallmouth, white, and Kentucky bass, everyone is given a chance to catch some nice bass. Courtesy of the Army Corps of Engineers, District 2 of the Arkansas Department of Game and Fish, and local bass clubs, we have numerous fish attractors located throughout Lake Norfork. The location of the fish attractors are well marked, and we also have maps showing attractor sites.

If trout are your preferred pursuit you've got some of the best in the world just 20 minutes from Teal Point Resort. Both the North Fork and the White River have produced several world class records as well as the former All Tackle World Record. In addition to large trout, there are four trout species in the rivers. In one day you can catch brown, brook, rainbow, and cutthroat trout. If you would like to take a guided trout fishing trip we'll help you with the arrangements.
